Optic is looking for a rock star Site Reliability Engineer ****to join the team and lead reliability function in our team either Remote or from San Francisco. You'll join a startup with a skyrocketing potential, where your work will have a tremendous impact on daily operations and long-term strategy. If you have passion for building automated systems that deploy, change, monitor and fix complicated cloud-based infrastructure and enable failure-proof for our protocol.

🔍 10+ years of experience in IT, including focused reliability, quality assurance leadership and hands-on SRE background

🔍 Knowledge of the principles and methods of quality assurance and reliability of IT services

🔍 Deep knowledge and experience of the IT infrastructure automation and observability principles

🔍 Knowledge of the principles of SLA/SLO/SLI/Error budget formation

🔍 Practical knowledge in building and/or infrastructure management of fault-tolerant systems operating in 24x7x365 mode and with minimal human involvement requirement

🔍 Solid ability of implementing SRE and DevOps practices and tools

🔍 Strong skills in implementing practices and tools for Capacity Management, Availability Management, and Business Continuity Management

🔍 Confidence in leading change, strong influencing skills and business acumen

🔍 Self-starter, capable of identifying current and potential weaknesses and act upfront to prevent and protect systems and services from failure

🔍 Team player, strong collaborator, proven inclusive leader on projects and teams

🔍 English native or good written and verbal English skills (C1/C2) for non-native candidates

🔍 Bachelor degree in STEM

🔍 AWS, Python are desirable and will be a plus

🔍 Desire to join and contribute to a start-up environment and comfortable with its specifics and atmosphere

🔍 ****Readiness for flex working time to maintain rapport with all engineers

What will you do:

🗝 Create a methodology for Reliability Management for the company products, including:

• determination of critical classes of systems and services based on the influence of their downtime on business processes:
• assessment of economically sound RTO and RPO values
• the formation of a system of product metrics in terms of ensuring reliability
• build up the processes of service level management based on SLA/SLO/SLI, error budget
• ensuring continuity and availability of critical systems and services
• manage incidents and events in a productive environment
